Dark Was The Night is a various artist compilation produced by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of the band, The National. John Carlin served as executive producer. Carlin is the founder of Red Hot Organization which is an international charity dedicated to raising money and awareness for HIV and AIDS. The album - comprised of 31 tracks - is available as a double cd, triple vinyl set and digital download. The album is on the 4AD label. Astral Weeks: Live At The Hollywood Bowl is an in-concert reworking of Van Morrison's historic solo album released by Warner Bros. Records in November 1968. The concert was recorded over two nights at the Hollywood Bowl on Nov. 7 & 8, 2008. Astral Weeks: Live ... arrives in stores Feb. 10, 2009. A double - vinyl edition with three bonus tracks arrives in stores the same day. Both shows by the Belfast, NIR native were filmed in high - definition and will be available as a DVD at a later date.
